Introducing Fam Uni Foundation — a unique Mauritian NGO dedicated to strengthening women’s emotional and economic empowerment. The centre offers therapeutic support alongside practical training in all areas contributing to running a successful, self-supporting business. From numeracy and life skills to creating handbags, macrame, dot painting, and sustainable agriculture, each element is designed to equip women holistically. My approach was gentle and collaborative — capturing the rhythm of daily life, the spirit of enterprise, and the emotional warmth of this community. The images honour the women’s journeys as mothers, makers, and future entrepreneurs. Every portrait speaks to dignity, possibility, and the quiet power of support. Fam Uni is more than a centre — it’s a space of transformation and care.
