The Universe Within

I’m excited to be sharing this new collaborative film Work as part of “The Universe Within,” a captivating mixed-media art exhibition on Thursday, 19 September, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Copeland Gallery in Peckham, South London. I will showcase my work alongside 25 other contemporary artists from diverse cultures, each bringing a unique perspective to the theme.
Curated by Latifah A Stranack, this exhibition delves into our relationship with our bodies and the world, within and around us, from spiritual, scientific, poetic, or metaphorical perspectives.
Inspired by Edvard Munch’s words, “From my rotting body, flowers shall grow, and I am in them, and that is eternity,”
This exhibition offers a deep exploration of memory, metamorphosis, healing, nature, and the cosmos. It provides a compelling reflection on the experience of being alive today.
The event will feature the wonderful Katherine Smith performing 8 Actions with Tins, a sonic intervention – within the gallery space, and an exceptional one-off dance performance by the talented Stephanie Burrell and Rachel Laird.
